Your Christmas Class choices.

1. Class and Dinner: Choose any of Menus 1 - 4 from the Private Classes. Or Call Karen Reid to request your own special menu. For dessert, we'll make some fabulous Christmas cookies with lots of extras for you to take home.

Christmas dinner classes offered December 5 through December 20. Dinner class is usually from 5:30 to 7 pm. with full dinner afterward. Five persons minimum per class. Cost is $55 per person or $269 per couple for dinner/B&B.

2. Class and Luncheon: Book a Christmas cookie class and a luncheon! We'll make four different delicious Christmas cookies with lots of extras for you to take home in a holiday cookie tin. Then we'll all sit down to a luncheon of: Crepes Augusta Florentine (stuffed with herbed chicken, spinach, and cream, topped with a 3-cheese sauce, and a salad of baby greens with candied walnuts, and crumbly Gorgonzola cheese with walnut oil dressing.

Luncheon class offered December 5 through December 20, Class is from 11 am. - 12:30 pm. with luncheon following. Five persons minimum per class. Cost is $30 per person.

3. Christmas Eve Feast:
Plan your own special Christmas eve dinner feast at McKenzie Orchards, and wake up to Christmas morning at our beautiful Inn for breakfast in our great room with a view of the river and a roaring fire (see what Santa left in your stocking, hung the night before).

The menu features five luxury courses that are so surprisingly easy to make that you will want to add them to your own personal entertaining repertoire. All courses paired with Willamette Valley wines.
Appetizer: Roast duck pate with dried apricots, cognac and pistachios on housemade crackers, served with cornichons. Paired with Pinot Gris.
Soup: Cream of carrot, garnished with crème fraiche and baby shrimp Paired with Viognier
Salad: Baby greens, candied walnuts and bosc pear, with toasted walnut oil and pear vinaigrette.
Entrée: Rolled beef roast stuffed with spinach, pine nuts and fresh herbs, with red-wine reduction sauce, served with roasted root vegetables. Paired with Pinot Noir.
Dessert: Your choice of: molten flourless chocolate cakes, served with vanilla ice cream; or cranberry swirl cheesecake. Paired with muscat.
Christmas breakfast: Champagne mimosas, ham, mushroom and gruyere cheese omelette, and housemade fresh cinnamon rolls!

Christmas Eve is December 24, but if you want to celebrate some other Winter night with a feast, we can arrange it. The price for class, dinner, and wine pairing is $85 per person, or $319 for dinner and B&B per couple: minimum of 3 couples must sign up for this event to run, maximum is 5 couples. This is a 20 to 35% discount off the regular price of the room, without the package.
A deposit of $100 per couple is required to reserve the package.

4. New Year's Eve Celebration Dinner 2011,
Bed and Breakfast Package, Friday, December 31.

Be one of the lucky couples to book a New Year's celebration here at beautiful McKenzie Orchards. Book this Class and Party in style with this fabulous menu and Willamette wine pairings. Don't miss our special New Years Eve fireworks show!:

Appetizers: Oregon coast dungeness crab cakes and red pepper remoulade sauce. Paired with Willamette Valley sparkling wine
Salad: "Jewel" salad with frisee, toasted hazelnuts, pomegranate, pita crisps and hazelnut oil dressing. Served with Tom's housemade cloverleaf rolls.
Soup: Fresh butternut squash soup with leek and orange. Paired with: Dry Riesling
Main course: Crisp roasted whole duck with savory potato galette and lightly steamed baby green beans. (Learn the Chinese Pekin duck technique to reduce fat!) Paired with Pinot Noir.
Dessert: Creme brulee, chocolate truffles. Paired with: Willamette Valley Muscat

New Year's eve cooking class Celebration. Dinner/B&B package: $319 per couple. Minimum of three couples must sign up for us to run this package; maximum is five couples. This is a 20 to 35% discount off the regular price of the room without the package.
A deposit of $100 per couple is required to reserve the package.

Stay on Saturday, catch the Rose Bowl Game and relax; add Saturday night stay for $150.

The B&B portion of a dinner package is subject to 9% room tax of $13.50, based on accommodation cost of $150 per room.
